Specialized Ground & Air Transport

Depending on the animal and destination, transportation may be arranged through qualified ground or air transport providers experienced in live-animal logistics. Where applicable, transportation arrangements incorporate environmental controls and handling procedures appropriate for the species and route.

Route Planning

We coordinate available transportation routes with consideration for transit time, carrier schedules, destination requirements, customs procedures, and applicable animal-welfare considerations. The most suitable route may vary by species and destination.

Secure, Species-Appropriate Crating

Animals are prepared for transportation using appropriate travel containers or crates based on the species, size, transport method, and applicable carrier requirements. Where required, containers are designed to provide appropriate ventilation, security, and access provisions consistent with applicable transport requirements.

Dispatch Preparation

Shipments are scheduled after all applicable preparation, veterinary clearance, documentation, permit, and receiving requirements have been met. Certain destinations may require additional approvals, inspections, quarantine arrangements, or other procedures before dispatch can take place.

Departure Coordination

Once transportation arrangements are confirmed, the buyer receives complete shipment details, including carrier information, departure details, airway bill (AWB) or tracking numbers, and estimated arrival windows where applicable.

Airport-to-Airport & Delivery Options

Depending on the destination, species, carrier, and applicable regulations, transportation may be arranged on an airport-to-airport, terminal-to-terminal, or other approved delivery basis. Door-to-door delivery may be available for certain destinations and species arrangements.

Transit Times

Transit times are estimates and are not guaranteed. Actual delivery schedules may be affected by carrier availability, severe weather, customs clearance, government inspections, permits, quarantine procedures, connecting routes, or other circumstances outside the control of Elier Farms.

Authorized Receiving Party

The buyer or an authorized representative must be available to receive the animal at the agreed destination or collection point and complete any required receiving and handover procedures immediately upon arrival.

Facility Readiness

Before shipment dispatch, buyers are responsible for ensuring that appropriate housing facilities, enclosures, holding areas, required state/local permits, personnel, and care equipment are fully prepared for the animal’s arrival.

Documentation & Import Clearance

Where applicable, the buyer is responsible for obtaining destination-country or destination-jurisdiction approvals, import permits, customs clearance, and satisfying all local regulatory requirements. Elier Farms assists with necessary export documentation and transport coordination as agreed for the transaction.

Transit Delays & Routing Updates

If a carrier delay, weather event, routing change, customs hold, or other transportation disruption occurs, Elier Farms will coordinate directly with relevant parties and provide prompt updates to the buyer. Revised arrival information will be provided as transport circumstances evolve.
